LYME REGIS TOWN BAND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Lyme Regis Town Band (LRTB) is committed to minimising the impact of its activities on the environment.
The key points of its strategy to achieve this are:

• LRTB will comply with all relevant environmental legislation.
• Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.
• Actively promote re-cycling both internally and amongst its supporters.
• Source venues that minimise the impact on the environment.
• Encourage car sharing where possible when band members are attending engagements.
• Discourage single use plastic items wherever possible eg water bottles, cups etc for refreshments.
• Make use of emails, WhatsApp, messaging for all internal communications.
• Hold committee meetings virtually wherever possible.
• Meet or exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to LRTB.

Issue and Review

A copy of this statement shall be brought to the attention of all members and volunteers.
It will be reviewed regularly, may be modified from time to time and will be supplemented,
where appropriate, by further statements relating to band members and volunteers.
